High heat resistant tube, cloth
Saint-Gobain Adfors, which handles long glass fibers, manufactures highly heat-resistant tubes, tapes, and cloths using aramid, glass, basalt, and silica fibers.
Based on the high heat resistance temperature of 350 to 1,200°C, it is used for heat insulation to reduce heat loss from heat sources, vibration suppression to reduce vibration and sound, sound absorption, and safety and performance maintenance to protect surrounding people and equipment.
Main applications
・Industrial: Improving the thermal efficiency of furnaces and heat exchangers in the aluminum, iron and glass industries, fire resistance
・Vehicles: Heat insulation and sound absorption for engines and mufflers, measures against thermal runaway in EV batteries
・Fire protection: base materials for fire shutters, seats on passenger ships, firefighting uniforms, and fireproof safes
