Fiber tape (for joint treatment)
Saint-Gobain Adfors, which handles long glass fibers, manufactures tapes woven from glass yarns, which are widely used around the world under the brand name FibaTape (fiber tapes).
Taking advantage of its high tensile strength and low elongation, it can be applied to the joints of gypsum boards to prevent cracks from occurring at the joints even if putty is applied afterwards.

FibaTape ClassicThe tape is made by knitted glass yarn in a grid pattern and applying glue to the back. The most widely used product for seam processing of gypsum board. |
Perfect Finish (thin type)The tape is made by weaving glass yarn in a grid pattern and applying glue to the back. By reducing the thickness to nearly half of the standard product while maintaining the tensile strength, it is ideal for sites that want to reduce the echo in the interior due to the thickness of the tape. |
FibaTape Cement (Anti-alkali)The tape is made by knitted glass yarn in a grid pattern and applying glue to the back. The standard type of fiber tape has an alkali-resistant coating, and can exhibit crack suppression effects even on alkaline construction surfaces such as cement boards and mortar walls. |
FibaFuseLike conventional paper tape, this tape is made of glass non-woven fabric that is applied after applying putty as an undercoat. It has a higher tensile strength than paper tape and is highly effective in suppressing cracks, and there is no risk of blisters or air bubbles after installation. |
